About Us
Progressive Energy is an established independent UK energy company focusing on the development and implementation of low carbon energy projects. We were formed in 1998 to commercialise key low carbon energy technologies including carbon capture and storage (CCS), bio-energy and hydrogen. We exist to find, and implement, innovative solutions to deliver major carbon abatement.
We lead and run projects at the forefront of UK innovation. As a small, but perfectly formed team of, close to 30 people, each member of Progressive Energy is supported to have the autonomy to lead their own work. We are agile and responsive – punching well above our weight to make a real impact.
We are a tightly knit group, working closely on our projects and new ideas. We hold regular team days, allowing us all to get together creatively to explore new opportunities.
We have flexible approaches to the location and way we work. We have two offices – the HyNet project office at Thornton Science Park near Ince in Cheshire and the Progressive Energy head office in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire; we also spend time at our partners’ sites.
More about the projects we work on can be found here.
